Cadet Kickboxing
Cadets Kickboxing is for teenagers aged 13-18 years old,
Our kickboxing programme is a high energy class, with a focus on quick movements and strong combos, with plenty of cardio-based drills and fitness circuits using the specialised equipment in the dojo.
Our syllabus has a wide selection of techniques to learn, this includes a variety of basic punches, blocks and foot work, kicks ranging from simple grounded kicks to jumping/flying/spinning kicks with each new technique challenging the students a little more as they progress up their belts these techniques are put into 3-8 moves combinations testing their coordination and skill.
Students will partake in belt tests every 3 months if they are ready to progress to their next belt, these gradings are a huge form of motivation for the students and give them something to aspire to on their journey towards their black belt.
As the students progress, they will be asked to spar. This is a great way for them to learn how to use their techniques practically but in a safe space that’s overseen by our instructors with plenty of padding and proper safety equipment.
We also teach our teenage students self-defence moves to help protect them as they spend more time out late with their friends.
